French Butter dish "Night Sail"

On a small sailboat off the coast under the blue evening sky, the gentle waves lapping against the bow - this butter dish takes you straight to the coast.
 
You can keep your butter fresh and spreadable in this French butter dish. The butter is spread into the lid and a little cold water is poured into the bottom part (approx. 1 cm high). If the dish is now closed, the water seals it airtight and you can store the butter outside the refrigerator. This means it stays soft and fresh for a long time (change the water every now and then).
 
This butter dish is glazed in our "Night Sail" design, on sand-colored clay and was elaborately built by hand using the slab technique.
 
Our ceramics are dishwasher safe. However, we generally recommend hand washing for handmade pieces.

Fired at approx. 1230 degrees, stoneware.
